Twinning Programme for Undergraduates in Science and Engineering

The Twinning Programmes at the College are in offered in Computing Science, Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. These are 11-month courses, which have been established with the assistance of Newcastle University (UK). The Programmes cover similar material to the first year of the degree courses at Newcastle University in these subject areas. The Programme is a recognised qualification for direct application to the second year of the corresponding degree programmes at Newcastle University. It is also anticipated that the Twinning Programme will be recognised by other universities in the UK and overseas for advanced entry.

Each Programme is divided into a number of modules. An individual module consists of lectures, problem solving sessions and revision sessions, which are followed by an examination. A great deal of emphasis is placed on solving problems, which is an important skill for a professional computer scientist or engineer. Undergraduates Twinning Programme for Management

BTEC Higher Nationals are designed to provide a specialist vocational programme, linked to professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards where appropriate. They offer a strong, sector-related emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding. The qualifications provide a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in their sector and their national recognition by employers allows direct progression to employment.

ECube Global has now formed an association with Edexcel (UK’s largest awarding organization) to offer their HND’s 4 & 5 in Business Management. The curricula of the programmes are designed by Pearson and prepare candidates for studies of the corresponding degree programmes in the UK and in other parts of the world. The qualification at ECube Global will be studied over two years after which learners progress to the third or top-up year of the equivalent undergraduate degree at a University of South Wales or to more than 200 Universities World wide having a tieup with edexcel. www.edexcel.com/dcf

The qualification awarded is Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Business and is equivalent to the second year of the Bachelor Degree of Management in India.
